Sites Most Infernal

Here are some websites Lord Orcus and his friends insist you visit at some point. Or now. How about now? I don’t know why Orcus has me doing this, but he says I’m a good pitch-demon.

The Weekly Geek - A weekly podcast and ongoing blog on all things nerdy, primarily videogames.

The Comics Bulletin - This is a great site to get fantastic comics reviews and other comic book related content. The writng staff is top-notch there.

Catalyst Studios - “Waging war on the weak, puerile aesthetics of the contemporary art world since 1999.” Need more be said? Except: Some of the best art is to be found there.

Dork Tower - This is one of the best comics around, webcomic or otherwise. Please avoid Nergal inflicting boils upon your nether regions and visit it.

Super Frat - Another great webcomic. Probably the best Fraternity around!

Manga Life - This should be your first stop for manga-related data.

Tunnels and Trolls - From Orcus: “One of the best role-playing games ever created. Flying Buffalo has a special place in my dark heart. If I had a heart, that is. Wait– do I have a heart????”

BOOM! Studios - Purveyors of some wickedly neat comic books, including– but certainly not limited to– the Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 comics, Blood Bowl comics, The Foundation, North Wind, Fall of Cthulhu, Zombie Tales, Cthulhu Tales, Pirate Tales, Left on Mission… and oh, OH so much more. Watch them explode, indeed. But in a good way, of course.

Necromancer Games - An excellent source of d20 gaming material. Their output is extraordinary. They even have a mascot that looks a bit like Lord Orcus, who even has a very similar name (”Orcus”, hmmm). Orcus doesn’t think it’s a bad issue or anything. After all, Necromancer makes great stuff.

Judges Guild - The classic developers of The City-State of the Invincible Overlord, and the masterful creators of the seminal campaign setting, The Wilderlands of High Fantasy. Go ahead, have a looksee for yourself and reap that joy. Reap it!
P.S. RIP, Bob. You will be sorely missed within the mortal realms.

Occasional Superheroine - A comics blog loved by many, including all of us. Velia is especially a big fan. Nergal has mentioned a few times that Valerie doesn’t do enough to cover his personal hero, Rob Liefeld. In fact, the Nergalmeister paid me to tell you “Thus no one is perfect. Be warned!” Whatever, Nerg. Whatever. Thanks for the cash, though.

Zuda Comics.com - DC’s excellent webcomics division. Many a talent is to be found. And High Moon is most certainly a must read. But we’re suckers for werewolves and westerns…

Magic Teeth.ca - Home of the Perogy Cat! You may be involved in an “accident” should you not visit this site. Or so I understand.

Curious Comics - Should you ever be in the Victoria, B.C. area, these are fine gaming and comics stores. There are three of them; two in Victoria and one in Nanaimo. Anyhow, Steve tends to shop at the Hillside location, as it’s close to his domicile. If you wanted to punch him in the mouth — and I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve it — the store he frequents at least once a week is a great “stalker start”. Steve’s not reading this, is he?

Beaver and Steve - According to all accounts, if you don’t laugh while reading this webcomic you will be beaten with sticks. Don’t be beaten with sticks, kids.

Views From the Longbox - A podcast which covers comics in a gloriously awesome manner. I have heard rumblings that Michael Bailey’s voice can make one a better parent.

Bats in the Beltway - A great political blog written by a very passionate guy. Worth every second spent on it!

Lord Orcus on MySpace! - Just what it says. Add him, you fools.

Nethack - The classic game everyone should love.

Ancient Domains of Mystery - Better known as ADOM, we like this game even more than the beloved Nethack here at the Orcusville offices. What are you waiting for? Go save Ancardia!

Slaves to Armok II: Dwarf Fortress - One of the best games ever designed. This should appeal to players of Nethack and ADOM, especially those who want to do some world building. And it’s FREE!!!!11

Pewfell - “The world’s funniest semi-autobiographical epic fantasy sitcom.” Honestly, its own quote pretty much sums it up. A must-read webcomic!

Hellbent - A great webcomic about “four seriously dysfunctional demons” who were unemployable in Hell and have relocated to Earth. Did someone say “Demons”? Of course we love it. So should you.

Kenzer & Company - The lot who brings us Knights of the Dinner Table, HackMaster, Kingdoms of Kalamar and Aces & Eights. And lots of other stuff! We simply cannot live without them.

Steve Jackson Games - An ancient and powerful outfit who treated us with classics like Car Wars, Ogre and Illuminati: NWO; as well as GURPS and Munchkin. All hail Steve Jackson and friends!

More links will be added soon! I’m a busy guy with people to… exercise. If you feel you should be linked here, feel free to drop us a line.
