Some of you may recognize the name Blair Marnell. He probably had the best run on the now defunct comic book rumor and gossip column, All the Rage. Even Steve agrees with this, and he was the last writer on ATR. What you might not know is Blair is also a wordsmith and a man who wears many hats– none of the garish (we think, anyway). Lord Orcus: So tell me, Blair, what is this Comics On Comics thing exactly?

Blair: It’s basically Politically Incorrect for comic books. We shoot a video podcast in front of a live audience and get one comic creator and three comedians together to talk about the latest comic book news.

Lord Orcus: Will there be any decapitations? I watched the first episode and I noticed no heads rolling? This could be a fundamental flaw in any format… Please explain yourselves!

Blair: We’re saving that for sweeps.

Lord Orcus: Do you ever involve human sacrifice in arranging guests and interviews?

Blair: Yes… A surprisingly high amount of human sacrifice is required. Especially for our episodes in June.

Lord Orcus: What happens if one of the comedians isn’t funny? Drawn and quartered? Flayed alive? Immolation? A fun combo of those things??

Blair: We take them out to Quiznos… And then we shoot them.

Lord Orcus: And what is your involvement with this mad bunch? Is your life madness? Is it full of clowns hopped up on cilantro food products?

Blair: Let’s see… I’m a writer, producer, publicist, talent booker and an occasional on-camera interviewer…

Blair: I quit life.

It’s true, he did quit life. Now he’s running everything as a well-dressed Lich King. Excellent move, Blair.
